Apple and cheddar French toast pocket

  • 1 very thick slice of (Première Moisson) Milk bread
  • slices of apples
  • grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • maple syrup


  1. Cut a very thick slice of a Milk bread.
  2. Make an incision in the slice.
  3. Insert pieces of apple and grated cheddar cheese inside of the bread. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl beat the egg and milk.
  5. Heat a frying pan and melt the butter.
  6. Dip the slice of bread in the egg and milk mixture and then grill in the frying pan.
  7. In a plate, cut the slice in two and serve with maple syrup.
