Founded in 1992, Première Moisson manufactures and sells bakery, pastry and charcuterie products made with wholesome ingredients using an artisanal approach. The acquisition of the company by Metro enables Première Moisson to expand its reach even further, thanks to the strength of this leading food and drugstore retailer's distribution network in Quebec and Ontario.

Reporting to the Key Accounts Director, the Key Accounts Analyst will assist in achieving corporate objectives related to Première Moisson and private label sales growth in all categories (bakery, pastry, viennoiserie, deli).

The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting and analyzing periodic results, making recommendations and formulating action plans to achieve sales targets.

Job status: Full time - Permanent - 40h / week

Hybrid position: 3 days on site / 2 days remote working

Tasks :

  • Supports the implementation and achievement of corporate objectives
  • Ensures that the Première Moisson image is respected in all files
  • Prepares periodic management reports, presents them to his/her superior and submits recommendations based on results achieved
  • Evaluates the potential and particularities of the company's current and potential markets, as well as customer needs and the external environment (competitors, trends, prices, market share).
  • Keeps abreast of new market trends and competitive orientations
  • Manages various work tools
  • Manage product listings on the banner platform
  • Issues analyses, action plans and recommendations to achieve sales objectives
  • In partnership with the Major Accounts Director, establishes recommendations for sales budgets
  • Focuses on major business opportunities in line with corporate strategy
  • Analyzes opportunities with customers
  • Submits Gate documents for product innovation requested for our products
  • In partnership with the Account Manager submits to customers strategies to boost product sales.
  • Suggests sales strategies based on ROI analysis of available market data
  • Ensures that Première Moisson promises are respected when suggesting new product developments.
  • Proposes withdrawals of non-performing products where necessary
  • Submits pricing structures for new products to our customers
  • Is responsible for preparing documents for price increases
  • Updates promotional calendars by banner, and shares them internally and with our suppliers
  • Analyzes results of sales activities
  • Produces and provides reports, analyses and presentations on product and market performance
  • Analyze and comment on market and competition; submit concise and comprehensive recommendations, frequent in-store visits
  • Carries out post-mortems following the launch of new products, packaging, etc.
  • Participates in the development of customer sales strategies
  • Support sales team for customer presentations
  • Processes sample requests
  • Follows up on the brand representative's events/talks (validates availability of material, ensures she is provided with the required material (product description, image, etc.).
  • Provides a post-mortem report on each major activity
  • Ensures adherence to advertising schedule, follows up (reacts quickly to deviations with recommendations and actions)
  • Conducts a point-of-sale tour once a month
  • Conducts a competition tour at least twice a year, or occasionally as needed
  • Contributes ideas for process improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the food industry
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of Power Point
  • Knowledge of Dunnhumby preferred
  • Knowledge of Metro environment desirable
  • Knowledge of SAP an asset
  • Excellent written and spoken bilingualism: French and English
  • Passion for work, product and customer
  • Must have a car and valid driver's license
