Total (min)

Ingredients

DOME

  • 285 g (1½ cup) milk chocolate
  • 140 g (¾ cup) toasted hazelnuts (or almonds, cashews or other nuts)
  • 100 g (1/3 cup) almond butter

CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT SAUCE

  • 150 g (½ cup) soy milk
  • 70 g (¼ cup) almond butter
  • 55 g (¼ cup) dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp. honey (or agave syrup)

Preparation

DOME

  1. In a food processor, combine the chocolate, nuts and almond butter until a paste forms.
  2. Line a bowl with plastic wrap. Pack the mixture in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove plastic wrap and unmould the mixture onto a plate, in a dome.

CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT SAUCE

  1. Heat the soy milk and the honey.
  2. Gently pour the mixture over the chocolate and almond butter (in a bowl), stirring with a wooden spoon.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chocolate dome, covering it completely.

CHEF’S NOTE

"This chocolate dessert is reminiscent of a rich chocolate cake, but takes only a few minutes to make and requires no baking. You can make it either as a single dome, as individual portions, or in bite-size snack portions. The sauce is an added touch that makes the dessert even more delicious. Careful: if you make the sauce in advance and refrigerate it, you’ll have to heat it slightly before you can pour it".
